COVID-19 Update

Hello Pet Parents

I hope all of you are staying safe and healthy during this time of social distancing to prevent the spread of the COVID-19. This pandemic affects humans as well as their pets. Pets can sense when there has been a change in the regular routine and when their owners are experiencing anxiety and stress. The pandemic has definetly created a lot of stress and tension in families world wide.

As a animal lover and the owner of Fun Fitness with Fido, I care about the health of you and your pets. I appreciate how many of you are being forced to cancel travel plans and change your working situations as a result of the latest restrictions. I hope the virus is under control soon and that those affected recover quickly.

Starting May 4th 2020, I am starting my pet services back up again as many of my clients consider pet services essential. If you need daily dog walking or pet visits because you’re either back at work or have a business meeting online, I am available to help. You can schedule a dog walk and I can arrive after you leave or by following the social distancing guidelines, we can schedule a dog walk if you are working from home. I am also available for those of you who need dog training, pet sitting, boarding, and pet waste removal services.

I also want to address concerns about Fun Fitness with Fido pet services in the future. I want to assure my current and future clients that I have been and will continue to follow COVID-19 state guidelines. I am practicing good handwashing techniques and using other methods to reduce the spread of disease. To perform my job as a pet care provider, I need to go in and out of people’s homes. This means that I may touch many pets and surfaces. Good practice has always been to wash my hands between visits to avoid spreading both human and animal illnesses. While providing services to my clients, I am taking the following precautions:

  • Wash hands on arrival and departure of each visit.
  • Wash hands before and after touching any pets.
  • Wash hands before and after touching any surface in the home.
  • Use a disinfectant wipe when using doorknobs and handles and to clean keypads, lockboxes, and the keys.
  • Practice social distancing and wear a mask if the client is working from home.

I will do my best to keep you informed about any changes to these hygienic practices to keep us all safe. If you have any questions or concerns about how I am doing my best to keep you, your pets, and myself safe, please contact me. We will get through this difficult time together.

Sincerely
Carla Dorpinghaus
